5 simple ways to save money

One of the things that I have learned is that it always pays to not impulse buy.  Planning any purchases ensures that I always save money.  I am going to share with you my top five simple ways to save money.

Make sure you follow our five simple steps to ensure that you save money on any of your purchases.  They do not take long to do and it becomes a really great habit to have.

5 simple ways to save money

Always use a voucher code site such as www.voucherbin.co.uk.  Voucher codes are usually available for most purchases you will make.  I saved 20% on our recent order from Tassimo just by using a voucher code.  You can search for specific companies if you know where you want to purchase from or use shopping categories if you know the item you want such as sportswear.

Use a cashback site.  Cashback sites operate by offering you a discount on the purchase if you go via them.  You can double up using a cashback site and a voucher code meaning you save even more.

Use a price tracking tool. Sales and special offers come up all the time, so it’s hard to know whether a deal is good value.  Camelcamelcamel.co.uk is a great website for tracking prices on Amazon. You can even set up email alerts so that you’re made aware whenever a certain product drops below a specific price.

Buy a voucher. Using an app such as Zeek.  You can purchase a voucher for the store of your choice at a discounted price.  I also have a free £10 promo code for anyone that uses the app via my link and adds the code 2devzn in to the promotional codes section will get a free £10 code, which means you get an even greater saving.

Exploit price matching policies. If you shop somewhere like Asda you can really make the most of price-matching. If they are not the cheapest by 10%, the they refund you the difference between its price and 10% less than the cheapest competitor out there. This means potentially you’ll be able to effectively get some items for 10% less than the cheapest price they’re on sale for anywhere.
