Can you earn money doing surveys? Well, I have been putting it to the test by doing some with Opinion Outpost. As a mum of two boys, I am always looking for ways to earn some extra cash and every penny counts and I have found Opinions Outpost to be a great way to earn money online.
What is Opinion Outpost?
Opinion Outpost is a survey site that offers you rewards and allows you to influence decision makers in the UK by completing online surveys about various products and services. Membership is free and you are rewarded for each survey you complete. It is a great wat of having your voice heard by lots of different types of companies and be rewarded for your opinions in the process.
It is one of the of the best survey sites I have come across and the interface is super simple to use and follow. You can register for free and start taking surveys straight away. What I really like is the fact that you are told really quickly if you are not eligible for the survey and even if you do not qualify then you are still rewarded with entry into the quarterly cash prize draw.
The earning potential
Doing surveys isn’t a way to make a living, but it can bring in additional money which is great. Marketing and opinions are big business and basically, Opinion Outpost pays you to be yourself and share your opinions with them. You get a set number of points per survey. I have been offered between 5 and 15 points for the surveys I have completed. Once you have accrued a set number of points you can cash them out, either in vouchers for the likes of Amazon or even direct into your PayPal account. As an example, 50 points equals £2.50 into your PayPal account.
In addition to earning money from surveys, you are added into a prize draw for every survey you complete and even for the pre surveys that you do if you are not eligible. Speaking of the prescreening. It never took more than 2 minutes to be screened out.
The Best Way to Make Money with Opinion Outpost
Opinion outpost will email you when surveys are available to you each day, so make sure that you have it set so these emails do not go to spam. The surveys that you are emailed about tell you the approximate time to complete and also the points value. I have found the estimated time to be pretty accurate and never understated.
You can also access surveys via your dashboard and once you have completed the pre-survey you will then be told if you are eligible and the points value and survey length. What I like is that I can complete paid surveys when I have time to spare such as sitting in the car waiting to collect Maxi from Scouts or whilst I am cooking and even whilst I am watching TV on an evening with the husbeast! It is great I can multitask and earn whilst I am doing other things.
So my top tips are:
- Regularly check your dashboard for surveys.
- Complete your profile accurately. Opinion Outpost is looking for your opinion so give them accurate up to date information.
- Use a secondary email address for all of your survey emails. This will stop your primary mailbox from being flooded, and it will mean you are instantly alerted to any new surveys that have been sent out. Make sure your spam filter isn’t blocking any emails from coming through.
- Use the time you are sitting around to complete the surveys. A prime example is when I am being a Taxi surviceI check my dashboard and complete them when I am waiting.
- Cash out as often as you can. Survey sites are not banks, so you do not have the same protections.
