2016 is going to be a super year for Babies in The Mad House. One of my nieces had a baby girl just before Christmas and my other niece gave birth to a much-awaited baby girl last week. It makes my heart sing to have our family expanding and for my Brother to be a Grandpa again! And with new babies come gifts and there is nothing I like more than finding the perfect gift.
So when Uncommon Goods asked me to take a look at their site and share my top choices of gifts for Mums and Babie I was delighted. Below are some of my picks for gifts perfect for new borns and also gifts for mums to be. I have avoided the regular choices and gone with something a little more unique, which is something that Uncommon Goods makes easy.
Uncommon Goods is a beautifully curated online store with an ethical ethos and a passion for supplying customers with handcrafted gifts. They are based in New York, but ship to the UK and you are guaranteed something that is perfect for your recipient.

Jewelry for mothers
Mother Bird Family Necklace, Nest Egg Necklace, Perpetual Mother’s Love Necklace, Mother’s Love Inspiral Pendant and Parent Nestling Necklaces
I am a sucker for meaningful jewellery and have some with the boys’ fingerprints on. I adore all of the necklaces above and how each one can be tailored to suit the recipient perfectly. I am putting one of the parent nesting necklaces on my wish list for my birthday.
I love that the next generation of babies are being born into my family as I get all the pleasure of a newborn and none of the sleepless nights.
