So what is We Bake? We Bake is the community that rewards you for baking.  A baking social media platform that celebrates baking. Imagine a mix between Facebook and Instagram, but with 100% baking content! It’s a community for bakers of any level, where everyone can share all things baking.  Why not join in with the Half term We Bake Challenge. We Bake is giving away a £50 Red Letter Days Voucher every day, so you’ve got lots of chances to win if you enter!

Picture the scene, it is a dull, dark Saturday and both of the boys have been playing outside when it starts to pour down.  So it is time for baking, PJ’s and snuggles and a good movie.  We need something that is fast and simple to make, will not leave the kitchen looking like a bomb site and that the boys can make!

How to make White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Depending on the age of children you are making this with, it can be easier to weigh out all the ingredients and place in small bowls.  Baking with kids is supposed to be fun, so make sure you are in the right frame of mind and have enough time. Cream together the butter and sugar. We use a mixer for this.

Add in the rest of the ingredients and mix together starting slowly at first.

Tip – Crack the egg into a cup rather than into the bowl in case any shell goes in.

Form the dough into balls and place on a lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart.  The amount makes 18 medium cookies.

We use an ice cream scoop to measure out the cookies, so they are all the same size and cook evenly.

Cook in a preheated oven at 175 degrees centigrade or 350 farenheight for about 12 minutes until golden on the edges.

Allow to cool for around 3-5 minutes before transferring to a wire tray and enjoy!

I’ve just posted this recipe on my We Bake profile so you can make it at home! Check it out here, become a We Bake member and let me know how you find it.
