How to make Animal-Friendly Pavement Paint

Pavement Paint or sidewalk paint is a fabulous homemade paint that will wash away with water and you can make with things that you will find in your kitchen. So simple and inexpensive to make.

Hate painting inside with the kids? Why not take advantage of good weather and make out simple pavement paint and take the creativity (and mess) outdoors.

It is perfect for children as it will not stain their skin and is also animal-friendly so great for using in the garden of you have a dog as we do. You don’t have to worry about them painting themselves or each other as it will not harm them, as you could eat all the ingredients (if you really wanted too)!

I know a lot of parents hate getting the paints out inside, so why not take advantage of good weather and make out simple pavement paint and take the creativity (and mess) outdoors.

Add cornflour and water together so that you get a useable consistency and then add the food colouring.

If you use liquid food colouring like we did the colours will be paler. I would suggest using gel food colouring for a brighter, more intensive colour.

I would recommend giving enough brushes or things to make marks for each of the colours so initially the colours stay unmixed.
