As the children get older finding a holiday that suits all the family can be hard. We discovered on our recent Family Friendly Villa Holiday that Mallorca was an amazing place for all the family. Our boys are 12 and nearly 11 and both love being active, but Mini loves history whereas Maxi not so much. MadDad is not a sun lover and would prefer to be active rather than sit by a pool. Me, well as long as I am not cooking I can deal with anything!
Did you have the perfect birth? If you asked 100 mother’s this question, I bet most of them would say they didn’t. But what is the perfect birth? For each person, it differs. If you had asked me before my boys were born I would have said “one where the mum and baby are both healthy” as I am sure lots of first time mums to be would.
Before our trip to Mallorca with James Villas we had never been on a villa holiday. Now we are converts and I can safely say that it is something we will be repeating in the future. Our recent family friendly villa holiday was a real treat. It allowed us the comfort of a traditional Mallorcan home with its own pool and left me safe in the knowledge that my sometimes loud boys would not interrupt anyone.
I think as parents we all want to do what is best for our families. I know for a fact that I do and I want to encourage them to make healthy choices when it comes to food, which is why I have to say I was intrigued when I was recently a taste tester for Rowntrees. I never had any indication that the Randoms and Fruit Pastilles had 30% less sugar.
Fewer and fewer children are participating in household chores. According to a survey reported a few years back in the Daily Mail, as many as 25 percent of kids between 5 and 16 don’t lift a finger around the house. And for a fifth of those who do chip in, help equals tidying their bedroom. Hardly pulling their weight, is it?
Late last year we struggled with finding a way to make our home work for us with having two tween boys in the house and the fact that I work from home. We are really lucky and have a conservatory which the boys used a lot when they were younger, but it just wasn’t working for us, so we had to make the decision to move or improve.
I love going on holiday, but I hate getting ready for one now I have children. Before kids I was the type of person to pop a suitcase in on the bed in the spare room and my list net to it and over the week before the holiday add to it and then be all ready to go the day before. Now I find that just doesn’t work for me.
