Easter Egg Hunts for Teenagers is a paid collaboration in conjunction with Cadbury. My boys are in the tween and teen years now and I really want to keep things fun and try and keep the magic of childhood alive for as long as possible so when Cadbury sent us a massive selection of Easter Eggs I decided to look into Easter Egg hunts for teenagers.
We were invited to opening night of Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment in Leeds last week and unfortunately, I am a little under the weather but thought it would be the perfect event for my Brother and his family. So he set off with my Sister in Law, his daughter (aged twelve) and three granddaughters ages between 2 and 8. I have been to Disney on Ice with the boys and my niece before so knew that they would have the best time.
Encouraging children to brush their teeth correctly is a paid collaboration with Playbrush. I have one child that is happy to brush their teeth and another that hates it and will avoid it at all costs and we have been using a Playbrush since December 2016, so was delighted when they wanted to work with us again to share with you why it works for us and how simple it is to use. Plus I think they would be a great gift to pop in any Easter baskets with all the other treats.
Screen time for me is the ultimate parenting conundrum. I am really aware that my boys’ are growing up with amazing access to technology and as a parent, it is my job to manage their access and help provide balance to their life but I have no framework or experience to build this on as it wasn’t around when I was a child. We had one TV with 3 channels and a phone that had a dial and cable! I remember illicitly taping the top 40 on a Sunday hoping the DJ wouldn’t talk over the song and that I could press pause and play fast enough to minimise the gap. My more »
Failsafe Chocolate Fairy Cakes is a paid collaboration with Amazon to celebrate Handmade at Amazon and Mother’s Day. I am a huge fan of homemade and handmade gifts and as a maker myself always try to buy handmade when I can. This Mother’s Day Handmade at Amazon are celebrating the importance and power of handmade gifts and sent us a beautiful Jonny’s Sister ‘Mum’s Cakes’ Tin and Victoria Eggs Apron’s, which inspired Mini to get creative and bake a batch of our failsafe Chocolate fairy cakes and show me a mum who wouldn’t love a cake tin full of homemade cakes for Mother’s Day!
I am in such a reflective mood. Maxi, my precious first born turns 13 in March. How on earth has that happened? I blinked and have a teenager. In all seriousness though it really seems like only yesterday when I was thrown in at the deep end of the parenting pool without a life raft or even armbands. I came to parenting pretty late and really had no idea what to expect and I had absolutely no idea how hard it would be.
This simple daffodil craft for kids is certainly going to brighten up your home or classroom this Spring. I love making flowers with kids as each flower is unique in nature and I love seeing the flowers that children make. Plus I am a sucker for receiving a bunch of homemade flowers. They are the perfect gift.
