Spreading the cost of Christmas is a paid collaboration. Christmas is expensive. Even with all the will in the world, we can not always be prepared for the cost associated. Or perhaps we have been saving for Christmas and then something happens and all those savings disappear. That is what happened to us this year. Our dog Alvin became unwell and had to have a major operation which we hadn’t planned for and due to a previous condition we do not have pet insurance.
