I am really lucky that I have two boys who take no encouragement to be sporty and active. They love being out playing with their friends and often only return home if they are hungry or it is dark! For the last three weeks, the MiniMads have been testing out the Yvolution Y Fliker Lift. Want to know what they thought of it? Read on…

The Yvolution Y Fliker Lift is a three-wheeler trick scooter that works by pushing your feet either way in a swooping motion (a ski-style movement) not with a bum wiggle as I first though! I think the technical term is a reciprocal scooter. The scooter has great stability with three wheels, so gives kids the confidence to experiment. its unique innovative design is the next level in stunt scooters.

Yvolution Y Fliker Lift Review
It took nine minutes to get the scooter from the box to them using it outside. it would have been less, but they insisted on “helping”! You get all you need to get it up in the box, but make sure you read the instructions all the way through before you start, as I didn’t think they were in a logical order.

The Yvolution Y Fliker Lift has a unique patented design as it has small rear wheels that they call lift technology. They allow you air time to enable stunts, such as wheelies, drift and carving. You lean back to engage the small wheels and then show off your tricks. the Maxi loves the fact that it is more than just a standard scooter and has been having lots of fun with it.
The Yvolution Y Fliker Lift has been a big draw for all the kids in the area. It was fun watching them all line up to have a go on Sunday and they all knew what it was when they saw it and they started singing the song from the advert! The footplates have great grip for the kids allowing them to feel safe and secure.

Our garage is full of bikes, scooters, trikes and go-karts and I was concerned that we might not have room for the Yvolution Y Fliker Lift, but I was wrong. The Y Fliker folds compactly, you just turn the do-dahs (yes the technical term) at the front and the handle folds down and the legs fold together making it comparable in size to a standard scooter.
Now I am not going to pretend that the Yvolution Y Fliker Lift isn’t an investment piece. It costs £99.99, which is a lot for a scooter, but not when compared to a stunt scooter. Oh and if all these terms mean nothing to you, then you need my parent’s guide to buying scooters. The boys and their friends are getting a lot of play out of the Yvolution Y Fliker Lift. Learning new tricks and trying to out trick each other. It has provided hours of outdoor fun and the more they use it the the more they get used to the flex technology and they start pulling more tricks.

What I have found os this is a must-have toy for kids who love the adrenaline rush provided by its higher speeds and pulling tricks. I have to admit i have had a few heart-in-mouth moments, but the quick-response hand brake is excellent and the three-wheeled design gives them maximum control – this is a kids’ scooter that will stand the test of time. and that more extreme ride gives it that longevity.
The only downside of the Yvolution Y Fliker Lift is the fact that you need a fair bit of space to be able to make the most of it. We live on an estate with lots of children so the cars drive pretty slowly, so the boys were using it on the road. You need more than a pavement to get the best of it trick-wise.
