This washi tape easter bunting was inspired by our washi tape hearts and is a fab process art activity for kids of all ages. I haven’t yet met a child or an adult that could resist washi tape.
Anyone who knows me knows that I have something of an addiction to washi tape and have a pretty extensive collection. I did this process art activity with my best friends’s old and he loved it. From picking which tapes he wanted to use to placing them and even using the paper punch. More that he loves the fact that we used the art to make Easter bunting that he has displayed on the wall in his dining room.

How to make Washi Tape Easter Bunting
Using washi tape is a great exercise in fine motor skills and scissors skills. Let your child find the ends of the tape themselves.
Stick the washi tape onto a sheet of cardstock or paper. It really doesn’t matter where the tape goes or how much is used. Your child can turn the card over and stick the excess onto the other side.
Even though I have a Cricut Explore, I love using paper stamps with children, especially younger children. There is something magical about feeding in the card and then pressing (with all your might if you are small), hearing the card being cut and then turning it over and your egg shape popping out!
The Eggs are beautiful on their own, but we wanted to make washi tape easter bunting so we punched them with a 1/8 inch hole punch, two at the top of each egg and then threaded some yellow string through them.
Threading is a great fine motor skill activity and for younger children you can always use a shoelace as the aglet makes threading easier or a plastic needle.
I love how the Easter bunting is unique to each child as it depends on where they place the tape.
