We have been selected by Ryvita to be part of their “revoluncheonary” team and share with you our lunches over the next few weeks. My boys are big fans of Ryvita, so we jumped at the chance to share with you some delicious family friendly lunches. This simple sweet lunch is often a weekend treat for us all.
RyVita is looking to liven up your lunchtimes by encouraging you to share your #MyVita creation with them and to encourage you they have a fab competition where one lucky winner will receive £1000 worth of John Lewis vouchers and with 10 runners up receiving a hamper full of Ryvita goodies. Share yours either on twitter to @ryvita, on their facebook page or on Instagram with @ryvita. You can also enter the competition without sharing your lunch!
I grew up with Ryvita. My Dad often took them to work for lunch, he loved that they stayed crispy and I remember having them crumbled up on milk when we had run out of cereal for breakfast! MadDad loves Multigrain Ryvita and they are a staple in our household, they are perfect for both sweet and savory toppings.
I don’t know about you, but there are times when I NEED to eat something sweet and this is a great way of satisfying my sweet tooth, but also adding in some good stuff too and it is really filling too. Plus I want my boys to grow up knowing that there is room for everything in moderation.
A simple sweet lunch
Ingredients
- Multigrain Ryvita
- Hazelnut Spread
- Smooth or Crunchy peanut butter
- Bananas
I feel wrong even calling this a recipe when really it is only four ingredients! This is a super simple sweet lunch that they kids can help make and is a great way of introducing them to the great taste of rye.
Depending on how much spread you want, depends on whether we go with the flat side of the dimpled side! We love smooth peanut butter, but the choice is yours.
So spread your peanut butter on to your multigrain Ryvita and then add a layer of hazelnut spread.
Next, chop your banana into slices. You could mix it up and use strawberries when in season or even kiwi fruit.
Top your Ryvita with the banana and enjoy!

Oh my gosh. Peanut butter, nutella and banana?! I have only ever put cream cheese on Ryvita. I think I’ve been missing out! x
I really love ryvita. Some yummy ideas here. Thanks for sharing x
That looks delicious, I will definitely have to try a sweet lunch more often!
I love the addition of the chocolate spread to make a healthy snack/light lunch just a little bit more indulgent!
This is something my daughter would love!! A nice filling snack
Multigrain Ryvita (or sesame) are my favourite but I’ve never thought of adding a sweet topping before. I’ll have to give it a go, thanks. Mich x
This has the wife’s name all over it, she is peanut butter obsessed and anything that makes a Ryvita taste that more interesting gets the thumbs up from me!
We live up the road from the Ryvita factory and it gives off such a distinctive smell. I haven’t had it for ages though – great recipes to try
I love a few Ryvita as a change. There’s some really tasty varieties now. I always spread on the dimpled side!
mmm I love Ryvita, I shall have a look at the competition. My favourite ones are the sesame seed ones, I can see these going nice with your recipe, how decadent, peanut butter, chocolate spread and banana, yummy!
Mmm we often have this as an after school snack whenwe have a late tea planned x
I have wanted to try out ryvita with chocolate spread and banana but I’d not thought of adding peanut butter too.
I love Ryvita with anything but prefer the non sugar combinations.
