I have mentioned before that one of my favourite childhood memories is playing with my mum’s button tin. I loved examining and playing with the buttons.

Materials:

Ho to make Card and Button Christmas Tree Decorations

I used my Cricut (UK Link/US Link) to cut out the stars, but I have also created a template that you can use to print directly on to the coloured card and cut out. Then use a single hole punch to create a hole for the twine. Alternatively, you could trace around a tree-shaped cookie cutter for the tree decoration.

Once you have your cards and buttons then the fun part starts and the buttons can be added. We chose multicoloured ones here, but they could be themed.

If you have older children then they can use a glue gun, but for younger children, all-purpose glue or glue dots work really well.

Make sure you get the children to add their name and the year on the rear and once they are dried then you can thread your twine.
