Christmas Baking With The Family: Our Favourite Sugar Cookies Recipe is a paid collaboration with Funky Pigeon. I am a BIG fan of Christmas traditions and Christmas Cooking. Over the years I hope these traditions cement by boys’ memories of our times together. I for one have always loved it when we are all in the kitchen and some of our best conversations happen when we are baking up a storm.

Chicken Sausages and Roasted Vegetable Traybake 304

Chicken Sausages and Roasted Vegetable Traybake is a paid collaboration with Richmond Chicken Sausages.  I was lucky enough to attend the launch of Richmond Chicken Sausages last week and after trying our some fabulous recipes using them cooked by Angelica Bell (who won celebrity Masterchef) I came home inspired.  They were truly delicious and have 30% less fat and 20% fewer calories (find out more on Richmond Foods Facebook Page).  I was really impressed with the fantastic taste and could see straight away how they would fit into our family menu plan.

Oreo Owl Cupcakes - Cooking with kids

Peanut Butter flavour Oreo Owl Cupcakes – Cooking with kids 3

How adorable are these owl cupcakes all made by Mini with Peanut Butter flavour Oreos.  We have been challenged by Oreo to produce a recipe using one of their exciting new flavours range that most suited our personality.   The options were Choc’o Brownie flavour Oreo – smooth, Mint flavour Oreo – cool, Peanut Butter flavour Oreo – nutty or Strawberry Cheesecake flavour Oreo – fruity.  Well seen as we are The Mad House there really was no choice – it had to be nutty!

Over 150 Low cost and no cost summer activities 12

Summer holidays, you either love them or hate them.  I am never sure about which camp I am in.  I love spending time with the children but do worry about the cost of summer activities.  I relish not having to get up each morning and giving up the school routine, but I don’t like hearing the words “I’m Bored”  That is why I came up with the bored jar (about four years ago).
