Both of my boys are sports mad, especially football. I am lucky that it takes no encouragement on my part to get them outside in t he fresh air playing and with the lighter nights they are outside playing football or cricket with their friends until they are called in. They both either scoot or walk to and from school and if they are taking the scooter then they really need a backpack for their school things (books, pencil case, PE kit etc) and this is where these fab Sportpax come in. Sportpax are backpacks with iconic, fun designs in the shape of sports balls. Sportpax bags are tough, resilient and more »
The Easter holidays are nearly upon us and Spring has sprung, it’s the perfect time for a Nature Trail! We are big fans of encouraging you to get out and about no matter what the weather, but the lighter nights and warmer days make it so much easier for everyone. To help encourage you get outside and take your kids on nature trails, TV presenter and mum of two, Angellica Bell is sharing her tips on getting down with nature and helping children learn where food comes from in a Twitter party on Wednesday March 25th, 8.30pm.
Our children are growing up and learning in an environment so different to when I was at school. Online technology is a given. Video content is available at the click of a button. I remember the school only having one TV on wheels and often my class would come to my parents house to watch a TV program! For the last month or so we have been reviewing the MWorld app and I can safely say that the boys have loved it and both MadDad and me think it is a fantastic way of reinforcing learning without kids even thinking they are learning. What is MWorld?
One of my intentions for 2015 is to be organised, but to also have less clutter in my life. Now the boys are older, I no longer have to carry around a large bag with lots of paraphernalia, so I have gone back to a small bag and some days no bag at all and the only things that I carry around with me are my purse and my phone. So for the last couple of months I have been using an app called Journl to help me be more organised. Since becoming a mum I went back to using a paper diary and notebook, but I realised that it made more »
eBay asked me what Inspired me at this time of the year? Well I didn’t have to think all that long to know that it was doing art and crafts with the kids. The fact the evenings are darker, so they are not out playing gives us the opportunity to get creative together. Plus I love this time of year for all the inspiration to craft and make together. We love to make homemade gifts, cards, art and food. It is part of who we are and I feel that it is important for boys to be exposed to creativity, which is why we have a six pm limit on screen more »
In conjunction with Birds Eye I have a Samsung WB350F Smart Camera (White, 16.3MP, Optical Image Stabilisation, 3 inch LCD) to giveaway to celebrate the modern British mealtime and their Birds Eye View exhibition. Birds Eye have been on a quest to document the modern British mealtime with photographer Martin Parr. To help them understand mealtimes today, Martin’s been visiting households across the country, from people who entered a competition to have Martin visit and photograph their meal times, delving into our nation’s food habits along the way. The tour concluded with Martin’s findings and the best images from this competition being presented at A Birds Eye View’ exhibition in London earlier more »
According to a recent survey commissioned by Febreze, a bad smell tops Brits’ list of turn offs when getting into someone’s car. I know that I hate a smelly car, but with two boys and a dog it can be hard to make sure my car smells clean when there is football kit in the boots and a dog on the backseat! Febreze wants to make sure summer family road trips run as smoothly (and as freshly) as possible. To do this, Febreze has created a #drivehappy Kit.
