Make your own Ring Wing Glider is a collaborative post with The Year of Engineering. Anyone that knows me will confirm that I am big fan of encouraging kids to be creative and imaginative and try and get them off screens. This is one of the reasons I love #TheHolidayMakers campaign from the Year of Engineering. They are a series of challenges (one a week) over the summer holidays that parents can do with their children aged seven to sixteen to keep them active and to inspire them about engineering.
The world always needs more kindness and these 110 acts of kindness for kids are a great way to encourage children to be kinder than they need to be. We use these every year at Advent and lent and also over the summer. What I really want to do is instil a kindness mindset in my children and sometimes using a list like 110 Acts of Kindness for Children makes it much easier for the children to choose what they want to do.
Easter Egg Hunts for Teenagers is a paid collaboration in conjunction with Cadbury. My boys are in the tween and teen years now and I really want to keep things fun and try and keep the magic of childhood alive for as long as possible so when Cadbury sent us a massive selection of Easter Eggs I decided to look into Easter Egg hunts for teenagers.
It is hard to believe that we have been doing an acts of kindness advent calendar for four years. It all started when I was concerned that the boys were becoming rather immersed in the commercialisation of Christmas and of advent. I wanted them to understand and learn about Christmas and advent being about giving, so came up with the idea of an alternative advent calendar.
I love Christmas and if I can combine Christmas and being creative then even better. I totally adore these fabulous free printable Christmas gift tags to colour and personalise. They are fab to colour in on the dark nights leading up to the festive season and you can add your own stamp to them. These were coloured in by my best friends nine-year-old. Hasn’t he done an amazing job?
You do not have to be American to celebrate Thanksgiving and being thankful is something that I feel is important to everyone. I love these beautiful I am thankful colouring sheets. They are brilliant to print off and use as table mats, but also have enough white space for you to fill with what you are thankful for. I am Thankful Colouring Sheets Being thankful is a great life lesson for people of all ages and one of the things that I have always done with the boys is ending the day with three things we are grateful for. It means that we go to sleep with the positives in our mind more »
I am working in partnership with Argos to launch the new My Little Pony The Movie toy range. In celebration of the launch, we have created our very own My Little Pony craft, taking inspiration from the toy range. What can I say – I was too old for My Little Pony first time around and my boys are too old for it now that is it back again! Perhaps it never went away, hmm, you will have to fill me in on that. Well, I am lucky enough to have a six year-old great niece who is the perfect age for the launch the new My Little Pony toys and more »

How gorgeous is this free Kokeshi colouring sampler from my friend the talented Tasha Goddard? As I get older I really do relish the chance to switch off and unwind and one of my favourite ways is to colour in. Over the last couple of weeks, I have taken my colouring sampler with me when I take the boys swimming and it has really been fun to do.
