We are still covered in snow and it is snowing again this morning.  Yes I am sure that there will be lots of artistic pictures out there of white stuff, but we have been living with this white stuff for far too long and it is starting to get silly.       The annual residents association “carols on the green” has had to be moved to the village church instead of our estate green tonight due to the amount of snow. So world, please can we have a thaw and get rid of the masses of snow, pretty please.

I haven’t been online a lot this week. Here in our little corner of the North East coast we have felt the full force of the weather that has hit Britain this week. We have had masses of snow and the boys school has been shut all week. So I have taken the opportunity to spend some quality time with mini and maxi and we have crafted, baked, read, made up stories, put up the Christmas decorations and enjoyed each others company.   MadDad has been working from home and has also spent a lot of time clearing paths and making sure the house is as safe and secure as it more »

Snowy Satuday

We woke up this morning to a good three inches of snow, football tots was cancelled and we have had the joy of a morning of not having to be anywhere and beatiful soft snow and sunshine.   I went out with MiniMad and we took some photographs whilst Maxi and MadDad cleared the cars.  The sun was shining  and everything looks clean and just wonderful. This is what is left of the mint that we love in the summer in our herb pots, it just looked so wonderful with the snow on top. Sand and Snow and Places To Go 12

The snow and ice has virtually gone now.   I can not believe how long it has remained and that is actually laid on the sand.         I can not remember this happening in my lifetime. Anyway enough of the snow, me and my boys have been to see The Wiggles at the cinema this morning.  MiniMad is an avid fan, who was introduced to them by my MIL. That Back to School Feeling 7

The boys have returned to school and Preschool today.  In the two child free hours I get, I was planning to take down the decdorations that are outside, but this is what the conservatory looked like at lunchtime today!! I also failed to get to the bank to get the cash for MaxiMads dinner money and as he went to school in his shoes he wasn’t allowed to play out in the snow – hmm I think that I kind of failed at being a great mummy this morning!
