These DIY no-sew face mask patterns are great for people that do want to sew a pattern or need one fast. More and more places require the wearing of face masks and creating a homemade face mask to wear when you go shopping for essentials couldn’t be easier than these instant no-sew methods.
It is important to remember a DIY face mask is not a replacement for a surgical mask, these masks are meant to help protect other people when you must go out in public.
Be sure to practice good hygiene and proper mask-wearing procedure. Be careful not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth when removing your face covering and wash hands immediately after removing.
In addition, masks are not a replacement for social distancing. You should still be practising 2 meters (or 1-meter plus) social distancing and frequently washing your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds.
Children under 3 (CDC) or 2 (UK Government) are not required to wear facemasks and you may find ones made of tshirt material softer on their skin. Make wearing them a fun game and practice by wearing them at home so they get used to having something on their face. You could also make face masks for their toys too.

Looking after your homemade fabric face mask
Cloth face coverings should be washed after each use. The CDC suggests popping in with your laundry on a regular wash or using a bleach solution if washing by hand.
Either tumble dry or air dry your mask before rewearing.
