I don’t know about yours, but my children love Easter, they love Easter Egg hunts and they love the chocolate – I mean what’s not to love! Now they are teens we have adapted our Easter Scavenger hunt clues for teens as they still insist on an annual Easter Egg hunt.

For us, Easter is a special time and it is perfect for celebrating the start of spring in addition to the religious aspect of celebrating Jesus’ resurrection.

How to set up an Easter Egg Hunt for Kids

Ever wondered what to do with those plastic eggs that split in half, well this is a brilliant way. You add the clue inside the egg along with perhaps small amount of chocolate or a little prize. Also by using a plastic egg you are not going to find a chocolate egg that has been forgotten months later!

My top tip for using plastic eggs is picking a specific colour for each child and let them know that they are looking for a certain colour. Print off a set of clues for each colour of eggs so that it doesn’t just become a race of speed and that all children in the house will get their prizes and chocolate.

When the boys were younger I used to have a basket full of Easter-themed gifts and sweets ( which I used to allow them to swap for each plastic egg they had in their basket at the end of the Easter egg hunt. No baskets, no worries – simply make our last minute Easter bags. We also always put their main Chocolate Egg at the end of the hunt.

Easter might be a little different this year again, so I have kept all the clues for just house, drive and garden.
