This wonderful Five fabulous washi tape gift wrap ideas is brought to you by Gude one of my long-time friends from inside my computer as the boys like to call them or my online coven as the husbeast calls them.
I don’t know about you, but I am completely and hopelessly addicted to washi tape (so much so, that I started my own online shop, The Paperdashery, stocking the most beautiful tapes I can find). I use washi tape for so many creative projects. But the thing that I use it most consistently and successfully for is gift-wrapping.
I love how easy it is to tear washi tape (without having to use your teeth!), yet that it is strong enough to hold the wrapping paper firmly in place. And best of all, if you mess up the wrapping, you can just peel it off and reposition the washi tape without ripping your paper.
There really is no limit to how you can use washi tape in gift-wrapping, but for starters I thought I would share my five favourite washi tape gift wrap ideas with you here.
Five fabulous washi tape gift wrap ideas
- Washi tape mini bunting. Possibly the cutest thing ever. AND you can re-use it!
- Birthday candles made of washi tape. So flippin simple, yet so effective.
- Use washi tape to write a word or phrase on your gift.
- Make some custom washi tape gift wrap. I love how this looks like giant sprinkles.
- Add a few homemade washi tape feathers as gift toppers.
Want to know why I actually look forward to Christmas gift-wrapping?
Take a look at my top ten tips and you might start to love it as much as I do!
