These free online children’s sewing lessons are a great way to keep your kids busy and engaged over the summer. The summer is the perfect time to encourage your children to improve their skills and sewing is the big things at the moment with the success of the Great British Sewing Bee.

I love sewing and got into quilting when my boys were little. I find it really relaxing and a great hobby. Over the years I have made some fabulous friends and one of them Gill is a woman on a mission to introduce tweens and teens into the joy that is sewing.

Gill has a real passion for passing on and educating the next generation of sewers and works with Liberty of London and Quilters Guild of the British Isles.

This summer Gill has produced 5 FREE Sewing Videos suitable for ages 10 -1 6 years of age or younger if sewn with an adult. Each video is between 20-30 minutes long and comes with a list of requirements and templates where needed. The sewing projects can be completed by hand or with a sewing machine. Old fabric and clothes can be used for these projects and the requirements are kept to a minimum, therefore cost to a minimum too.
