When is the coronation of King Charles III?

Following the death of our beloved Queen Elizabeth II , the coronation of King Charles III and the Queen Consort, Camilla will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th May 2023. Their Majesties will arrive at Westminster Abbey in London in procession from Buckingham Palace, known as ‘The King’s Procession’ and after the official ceremony will return to Buckingham Palace in another ceremonial procession, known as ‘The Coronation Procession’. Their Majesties will be joined in this procession by other Members of the Royal Family.

At Buckingham Palace, The King and The Queen Consort, accompanied by Members of the Royal Family, will appear on the balcony to conclude the day’s ceremonial events.

These Free King's Coronation Printable Decorations and Bunting are just what you need to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.

How Can I get Involved?

One way to get involved is to have a Coronation Big Lunch or street party at which neighbours and communities are invited to share food and fun together, these will take place across the country, on Sunday 7th May 2023. However, You can organise your own party and use our free party printables.

Even better here in the UK the following Monday 8th May will be an extra bank holiday, allowing us to celebrate our new monarch even more!

This post contains affiliate links. If you make any purchases after clicking one of these links, I will make a small commission (hopefully enough to keep me in tea all year) – at no extra cost to you! This allows me to keep creating and sharing free tutorials and content for you. Thank you!

I always print my printables directly onto 160 gsm cardstock using my Epson Ecotank Printer rather than regular paper, this way they are a little more durable and the pens do not bleed through to the other side. However, if you do not have a home printer then just pop to a library and use theirs.

We love a good book here in the Mad House and that means we love having seasonal bookmarks for them too. These bookmarks are perfect for kids of all ages and rather than being scary they are spookily cute and even the spiders! What I love about paper bookmarks is they are inexpensive and that means you can give everyone their own bookmarks.

They are even great for younger children like preschoolers, as it is never too early to start using a bookmark and learning that you do not turn down pages.

Perhaps you are having a Halloween party, then these are a great treat to give out instead of candy. You could give a page, some ribbon, a hole punch and a set of colouring pencils (or crayons). You might even trick a child into reading!

Invite neighbours, friends and family to your coronation celebration street party with these fully editable invitation templates perfect to celebrate King Charles III's coronation.

We have a fab customisable invitation for you to download in both A4 size or US letter. You could also make it smaller and print two to a page, this is perfect for inviting people to watch the coronation with you.

  2. Can’t wait to use these as I live in the USA and am hosting a tea party for the coronation. Just wish I could download the bunting – there’s no button to add it to the cart.
Thanks for all of these resources!
