Are they two Eids?
No, there are three! The first is Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan and celebrates an entire month of fasting. Feasting, gift-giving, and acts of charity characterise it.
The second is Eid al-Adha, the festival of the sacrifice that occurs during the culmination of the Hajj pilgrimage season with a focus on sacrifice, reflection, and communal prayers.
Eid Milad un Nabi which is the birthday of Mohammed Prophet PBUH, the last prophet of Islam.
Happy Eid Coloring Pages

We have a selection of eight illustrations with a focus on Eid and the festive atmosphere. The coloring pages feature crescent moons, Ramadan iftars, moon sightings, prayers and mosques. We wanted to make these suitable for Muslim kids and children learning about Eid and Islam.

We have learned that colouring is a great way to work on fine motor skills and as a conversation starter. These free printables are great as an accompanying resource to an RE lesson about Eid, why and how it’s celebrated.I think these would be a good fit for children aged 5-8 years old.

You could also use these worksheets to make Eid cards to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan or Eid al-Adha. I think they would make lovely Eid cards and have included PDFs of two images to a page that prints A5 cards.

These adorable illustrations would make a great Eid coloring book if all printed together. You could give them to the kids at family gatherings.
When is Eid?
Eid al-Fitr falls on the first day of Shawwal in the Islamic calendar and Eid al-Fitr the end of Ramadan is based on the sighting of the crescent moon. This is because the Islamic calendar follows the lunar calendar, which helps determine and predict when Islamic months and holidays occur. This explains the relevance and use of moons in Islamic drawings.

I always print my printables directly onto 160 gsm cardstock using my Epson Ecotank Printer rather than regular paper, this way they are a little more durable and the pens do not bleed through to the other side. However, if you do not have a home printer then just pop to a library and use theirs.
