Free Printable Positive Affirmation Cards

These Free Printable Positive Affirmation Cards are a collaborative post in conjunction with Cricut. January can be a dark and long month especially after the sparkle and joy that is Christmas and I have a real love for positive affirmations. I have used them in my daily life since I got post-natal depression way back with my youngest Son. I love how positive thoughts can really change the feeling and direction of a day. So I have created positive affirmation quotes on free downloadable cards perfect to pop in a purse or wallet.

Sometimes we all need a little help changing our perspective and it has been proven that positive thoughts leave less space for negative ones. It is a simple act that can make a big difference and one that I have successfully used with my boys when they were suffering from nightmares. We always ended the day with three positive things so they went to sleep on a positive note.

What are Positive Affirmations?

Positive affirmations are small statements that challenge our personal negative thoughts and encourage positive thinking and good self-esteem. They help us get into the habit of positive self talk and inspire personal growth.

They are positive, empowering statements that describe a desired state. Unlike writing down a goal or intention, affirmations are written in the present tense as if it’s already happening—as if it’s already your reality.

These simple daily affirmation cards are a great way for helping to learn to give less weight to the negative self-talk (or my Inner mean girl as I call it) and build confidence and self-worth in simple steps. I have created 31 cards, so you can use one on a daily basis. It is a small change that can have a big difference and be a reminder to love ourself and have a growth mindset.

It is important to not let our anxiety or even a bad day ruin the rest of the month. Positive affirmations and good thoughts rewire our brain to have a positive mindset and look for the good in everything. They can be the secret between a good day and a great day. I love these “I am” affirmations.

You will need:

  • Cricut Maker (I used the Maker 3)
  • Cutting Mat
  • Printer
  • Cardstock – I used 160gsm
  • Foiling tool (medium)
  • Gold Foil
  • Medium Point Cricut Pen

In order to make it simpler to make these Positive affirmation cards, I have already designed 31 cards with phrases in design space.

Once you chose to Make it, it really is as simple as following the on-screen instructions. Starting with printing the base of the affirmation cards. I used 160gsm cardstock which goes through my printer and is a good weight. I print on best with bleed.

Then load on to a standard grip mat with the printed side face up. Load the pen and the foiling tool as requested. I use the 175g cardstock material setting and default.

The tape down the gold foil (shiny side up) and let it add the foiling.

Before swapping out the foiling tool for the cutting tool.

How I use my Cards

There are lots of ways to introduce affirmations into your daily routine. I use them when I practice mindfulness each day by focussing on the words on a card. I have been doing it so long that it is a habit and I do it every single day. It is a form of self-love.

Sometimes a specific card talks to me – it offers more guidance or feels as though it was written for a specific scenario I am going through. Then I keep that card on me in my purse or on my notice board or even my office desk so I can look at it. Some people even pin them on their bathroom mirror.
