Summer Reading Tracker

One thing that I always wanted to instill in my children was a love of reading for pleasure and like most children they were fans of charts, stickers and logs to keep a visual track which is why I have created these fab fun Summer reading logs.  Our reading log is 100% free for you and it’s definitely one printable that you will print and use over and over again. Why use a Summer Reading Log?

Our free printable Summer Reading Log is a great way to incentivise your children to read over the summer holidays. You can allocate a specific amount of time they need to read or the number of books and using their reading log they can keep track.

It allows both you and them to see, at a glance, just what they are reading and how fast. Plus for older children, there is an individual book log which is perfect for longer chapter books. If you are looking for some reading recommendations then use the book sorter from The reading Agency.

I’ve made it as simple as possible for you. Simply add in the title of the book, what number it is and then rate the book out of five once it has been read. There is also space to add what reward (if any) they will receive when they complete a certain number of books or amount of reading (remember there are loads of ways to engage reluctant readers.

This printable reading log includes: date, title, time spent reading along with a book time spent tracker too. A reading log is a great way to help children develop a life-long habit and is one of the best summer activities to sharpen developing brains. Click here to download the free reading log printable

For longer books we have created a reading tracker that covers pages read, amount of time reading each day and also space for notes about the book. This is a great way to encourage conversation about their reading and also ensure their comprehension and perfect for older more advanced readers.
