Mid Century Garden Goals for the Summer 7

We are in the midst of a heatwave and at the moment all I want to do is spend time in my garden.  However, our garden is in need of an update, thanks to mainly being used as a football pitch for the last 10 years.  I also have a serious case of garden envy thanks to one of my neighbours.  Yes, that is her garden and they did all the work themselves!

I have been hit by the green eyes monster and have a case of keeping up with the Jones.  We have had two fabulous holidays this year, Mallorca and the other to France and both of the places we stayed had great outdoor spaces. It made me realise that we total underuse our garden and now I have big plans for the garden, just don’t tell the husbeast as he will be doing all the work!

Just look at my neighbours’ fantastic work and they even made that table/fire pit all from scratch.  The gazebo even has a canvas that pulls over for the normal English weather. You can understand why I have garden envy right now.  I am just waiting for my invite!

I am a big fan of having something a little different and unique in my home and love some of the garden decor and accessories from Uncommon Goods. Uncommon Goods is a beautifully curated online store with an ethical ethos and a passion for supplying customers with handcrafted gifts.  They are based in New York, but ship to the UK and you are guaranteed something that is perfect for your recipient.

My house has more of a mid-century feel and I want to carry that out to the garden and there some delightful things in the garden section. I like Dancing in the rain Mobile, Happy Clam Birdfeeder and Succulent Living Wall Planter Kit.

I also like thinking outside the box and even though this White Earthenware Bowl with Stand is from the home decor section it would make a beautiful planter.  By keeping the decor simple I would add colour with lots of pillows and throws.

Your neighbour’s Garden is fantastic, having that kind of outdoor space really makes it seem like you have an extra room doesn’t it? Plus its ideal for super hot weather! 🙂

I have envy of your neighbours garden too! My neighbour has built a shelter for his hot tub in his garden, it’s even got a tv on the wall! Our garden is a blank canvas and we are desperately in need of some flowers and furniture.

Oh I am rather envious, I garden is in desperate need of sorting – I’d love to make it somewhere I could enjoy x

That is a lovely seating area. That’s what I am really lacking in my garden. I really need some decent furniture to complete the look – I have a lovely garden apart from that.

OMG, your neighbours garden is actually lush! And given me inspiration for doing our garden! We had planned to get it sorted this year, but we’ve left it too late (again) and will just have to enjoy what we’ve got…
