Along with fab® ice lollies, I want to help you make this a summer of fun with lots of memories for all the family. I know that mostly it’s us mums who lose out during summer, as we are the ones who plan, organise and arrange! These activities are all Mum-friendly, so that we can enjoy summer too.

First up is a woodland scavenger hunt with a free printable.
I am a big fan of scavenger hunts, as I can print them off and turn a walk into an adventure, so that the kids get out and about. This is where I find scavenger hunts come into their own.

Scavenger hunts can be as simple or as complex as you need them to be. What is important is they appeal to your children and engage them. A colour hunt is a really simple scavenger hunt. Why not give the kids a camera and encourage them to take a photo of the colours that they find. You can see our colour hunt here.

When you have younger children a printable sheet with images on is a great idea. They can either mark them off with a pen or use it to compare.
The woodland trust has some ace free printables for your little nature detectives.

Tip: If you are going to use your Summer scavenger hunt regularly then laminate it or alternatively pop it into a clear plastic folder and use a whiteboard pen, so you can just wipe it clean and use it again and again!
