King Charles III Colouring Pages

These King Charles III Colouring pages are free to download and will provide a great resource for children learning about our new King. Sadly after over 70 years of service to our country as monarch, Queen Elizabeth II recently died whilst at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, which means that her heir Prince Charles was Crowned King Charles III and Camilla The Duchess of Cornwall – Queen Consort.

You could use these pages to create a King Charles souvenir colouring book for each child and include other images such as Windsor Castle, Westminster Abbey, Clarence House, The Royal Crest, the Sovereign’s Orb and sceptre, other members of the royal family, and the royal crown. This would make an excellent kids’ souvenir to commemorate our new King’s accession to the Throne.

To engage your young learners, why not send a selection to Buckingham Palace with messages to congratulate the King. Any mail should be addressed to His Majesty, the King, Buckingham Palace, London, SW1A 1AA. You could also send condolences using one of our remembering Queen Elizabeth II colouring pages.

I always print my printables directly onto 160 gsm cardstock using my Epson Ecotank Printer rather than regular paper, this way they are a little more durable and the pens do not bleed through to the other side.

I am a firm believer in giving kids the best quality art products that way they will last and give great results.

On Saturday 6th May, 2023 be a coronation ceremony for the King at Westminster Abbey, in addition to an investiture for Prince William as Prince of Wales. The King has already signed the Accession Proclamation, which took place at St. James’s Palace in Westminster, London. The leader of the House of Commons who is also lord president of the council, Penny Mordaunt, invited His Majesty to sign two proclamations — including one declaring the date of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral a bank holiday.

The Kings Cypher

We also have a couple of Kings Cypher pages to colour in. One is for England and Wales and One for Scotland. The cypher is the Sovereign’s monogram, consisting of the initials of the monarch’s name, Charles, and title, Rex – Latin for King, alongside a representation of the Crown.

The King’s cypher will appear on government buildings, state documents and on some post boxes. It is used by government departments and by the Royal Household for franking mail.

We also have a great King Charles III Postage Stamp Colouring Page and Colouring Bookmarks
