Mother’s Day gift ideas from kids 15

Ten years ago I became a mother.  ten days after Mother’s Day that year.  I remember getting a card from the bump (thanks to MadDad).  Ten year’s ago my life changed in ways I could never imagine and each year I love Mother’s Day.  This year I have teamed up with Paperchase to bring you some ideas to share with your husband and the kids. I am delighted to be working with them as most people know I am fueled by pretty stationery and tea!

With today’s multigenerational families Fathers have expectations on all sides to provide a great Mother’s Day for their wives and partners in addition to their own Mum’s.   I am a firm believer in the small things meaning so much on Mother’s Day, such as a card signed by your child and breakfast in bed.  I would much prefer something personal, rather than an extravagant gesture.

So I got together with the MiniMads and we have come up with a list of ideas that children can do for their Mum on their own.  We took a trip to our newly opened Paperchase and the boys chose some notecards as they wanted to use them for their DIY Mother’s Day gifts.

I love your list of thoughtful gifts; I’d be far happier with lots of kisses and a chance to soak in the tub than anything else…although you HAVE inspired me to go and have a look at the Paperchase website. As a self-confessed stationary addict, I’m a little ashamed to say that I’ve never actually shopped there.

Very sweet. I have shared this page on Facebook and Twitter. Who wouldn’t want a hoovering IOU as a gift!?

I think the best Mother’s Day gifts involve spending time with the kids. It’s the one Sunday of the year when they’ve got no excuse for disappearing!

So many beautiful products here. I also love paper chase and have recently been given some birthday money. Think I am going to have a sneaky browse in our local store before Mother’s Day x

Aww what lovely ideas! Liv is only 4 and announced last night that she will be making me breakfast in bed – no idea where she has even heard that! I can’t wait to see what she has made in nursery 🙂

I love the thoughtful gifts for kids – they are all fabulous ideas. I’d settle for Skyping my daughters as they’re both away at uni and I won’t see them until Easter :o(

I love Paperchase too – it is a good job we don’t have a local branch or I would be bankrupt! I am most looking forward to my homemade present from my youngest – they are always the most special!
