Nozstock – A Family Friendly Festival 24

last year we dipped our toes back into festivals after 15 years.  BC (before children) we were avid festival goers and we decided that at 10 and 11 the boys were the perfect age to spread their wings and start to enjoy festivals.

This year the organisers of Nozstock The Hidden Valley which is on Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd July 2017 have invited us to sample their festival.  I am going to admit that we haven’t been to Nozstock, but over the years I have followed Alex and Claire’s adventures there with their three children.

Nozstock The Hidden Valley is a boutique festival set on a farm in the Herefordshire countryside and is in its 19th year.  The festival features a huge range of entertainment, activities and inspiration for families and kids. Nozstock embraces a whole family festival experience from beginning to end, and the Children’s Space is a friendly welcoming environment for both parents and little ones alike. It is a family run festival that is perfect for families and we are really excited to be attending.

Artists so far include: Seasick Steve, Happy Mondays, General Levy, Ocean Wisdom, Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Beans on Toast, Rodney P & Skitz, The Correspondents, Krafty Kuts & Dynamite MC, Delta Heavy, Hazard & Eksman, 15 Years of Critical Records feat. Break, Ivy Lab, Kasra, Foreign Concept, Loadstar, Mind Vortex, Frankee and more to be announced.  I love that the music is so varied as it is always great to be introduced to some new acts and live music is totally amazing.

Nozstock is also a really affordable festival with tickets at £125 per adult, teens at a reduced rate and under 12’s going free.  There is so much going on for kids too.  Nozstock’s Little Wonderland Kid’s Area includes Spare Room Arts; Glittery, gluey art boxes; Let’s Go Fly A Kite; Surreal Frames; Marvellous Masks; Wacky sunglasses; Fantastic flip flops; Festival Fashions; Bandhani Tie Dye T Shirts; That’s not a pot! Or is it?; See the world upside down; Freedom of expression table; The Theatre of Endless Possibilities!; Surreal Sculptural Headdresses; face painting; temporary tattoo workshop; Adults & Kiddie Yoga & Meditation; interactive story telling; and Chill Out Corner.

So cool the robot..It s such a pity i live far away from Hereforshire..it’s cool that you can join amazing festivals & have fun with your kids..sometimes i think the “funny & wild days” are over just because i don t have the freedom once i had to get to every festival in UK..i mean the rock ones.. but your post is inspiring..life goes on and children don t mean sacrificies at all.. Thankyou again! for other tips about children#friendly places take a peek at http://www.vivaguides.com/single-post/TRAVEL-BOOKS

I think the kids would get excited about the Children Space so we would work around them and see whoever we could see…

This looks like an amazing thing to do with your family. I’ve never been to a festival, I was all about the nightclubs instead but now the thought of them really appeals. This years event clashes with a family wedding but I’ll certainly keep it in mind for next year.

I had never heard of this one before and it isn’t that far away from where we live! We haven’t done a festival as a family yet but I would love to as they always look and sound like such amazing experiences.

I actually like the sound of glittery in the kids area I’m afraid to admit I hate the mess of glitter so it would be great if the kids could go wild with the stuff!

I’m originally from Hereford and went to One of the original Nozstock’s when it was £30 a ticket!! Me and my sister and my nephews go every year and it’s been amazing to see it grow. We love the Little Wonderland Kid’s Area
