Do you let your children bring in the New Year? I love how excited kids get about New Year’s Eve and they really want to be part of the New Years Eve celebration and will try so hard to try to stay up until Midnight, but never make it! We have a small celebration with our best friends and their four boys, so we do lots of new years eve crafts and activities with the kids and sometimes we have an early New Year’s Eve Celebration so that they can feel part of the fun.
Fab teen approved family activities is a paid collaborative post with Track Days. Having a teenager is taking some getting used to here in The Mad House. No longer can I coax them out of the house with the promise of a picnic and park day as I have done in the past. Summer holidays, you either love them or hate them. I am never sure about which camp I am in. I love spending time with the children but do worry about the cost of summer activities. I relish not having to get up each morning and giving up the school routine, but I don’t like hearing the words “I’m Bored” That is why I came up with the bored jar (about four years ago).
We long time I’m Bored Jar users and I wouldn’t be without one. With the summer holidays coming now is the perfect time to put together yours and we have an amazing selection of summer activities that are perfect for your bored jars.

Do you have adventurous kids? I do, in fact they are far braver than me. Nothing seems to scare my lads and there is nothing they enjoy more than an outdoor adventure. But the trick to getting your kids outdoors is to turn outdoor activities into outdoor adventures!
Do you have a garden or a yard? We have a back garden, which eight years ago was just mud and stones as this house was a new build when we moved in to it. We really love having a garden, we grow plants in it, eat in it over the summer and it is a fab place for the boys to play (mostly football at the moment).
Some days it is either too hot for outdoor activities or just plain raining and you just don’t fancy playing out in the rain. So here are some fab, fun and screen free indoor activities to keep the kids occupied.
