I remember spending hours when I was young with my Mum’s button tin. I used to sort them and play with them and just love looking at them, wondering where they had come from. Lots of them wee her mums before her.
Can you feel Spring in the air yet? I think I can and I have started thinking about Spring crafts for kids and we have a fabulous selection of crafts that kids will love here. I love Spring, the garden is filled with vibrant colour after a long, cold winter and the days are getting longer fast. I LOVE spring because it means more outdoor time, butterflies, birds, bugs, flowers and spring showers.
If you are anything like me that you do not throw anything way and I have a box full of felt scraps. Felt is such a beautiful material and perfect for making things with as it doesn’t fray. After using some of our felt scraps to make our Kandinsky inspired trees I decided to come up with some other ideas for using scraps of felt.

I love decorating seasonally and also with the dark nights, I am a big fan of using light to decorate too. Last year we made some super simple jar lanterns for Halloween and we decided to add to them this year. These Halloween lanterns are really easy to make Look great too and are a fantastic way to reuse any old jars that you may have.
One of our annual traditions is making a Gingerbread House at Christmas and decorating it. It is such a fun activity and we decided that doing it only once a year was not on and a poor use of our mould, so we decided that for the next year we are going to make a seasonal house and this is our haunted gingerbread house. We had so much fun making and decorating it.
I look cooking with my boys. When they were small I was determined that I would provide them with life skills and cooking was one that was key. I grew up cooking by my Mum’s side and I wanted the same for the boys. This Rhubarb Brulee Cheesecake is a twist on a classic New York cheese cake is a real crowd pleaser.
