A Candle Lovers Gift Guide has been updated for 2021. Do you have someone in your life that loves Candles, but you are not sure what to get them, then this candle lovers gift guide is for you. I adore candles and now my boys are older I can use them when they are around rather than just late at night when they are asleep like I used to and I think over the years I have developed a keen eye and nose for a good candle.
What is not to like about this fingerprint Christmas tree ornament made from air drying clay? Anyone that knows me will tell you I am a big lover of creating Christmas ornaments from air drying clay and that I am also a fan of using both kids and adult fingerprints to create keepsake decorations such as these Fingerprint Christmas Tree Ornaments. In the past, we have made fingerprint snowman ornaments and also heart ornaments. I have seen Fingerprint Christmas Tree Ornaments made with salt dough, but I wanted to use white air drying clay.
I was busy updating my list of Kids Advent and Christmas Books and I realised that actually over the years our collection has grown to include many Advent and Christmas books to cherish at any age. You know the type, ones that will become family heirlooms or that you get out each December to read again and again.
Now that we have got down the Advent box, I thought it was time to share with you some of our favourite kids’ books for Advent and Christmas. These are the books that create Christmas and Advent traditions that your family will remember year after year. That form the basis of those magical Christmas memories.
Simple Winter Wool Forest Wreath is a paid-for collaboration. This wreath was inspired by this beautiful winter wonderland wreath I pinned last year but I had already made a simple white winter wreath last year using a feather bower and I wanted to mix it up a little. So I had a look through my craft stash and sound 3 balls of finger knitting wool that I thought would be perfect.
These Washi Tape Christmas Ornament Baubles with Free Printable are a fabulous Christmas craft to do with kids. Not only are they mess free they look amazing. We LOVE making our own Christmas Decorations from Air Drying Clay. Each year we add to our ever-growing collection of seasonal decorations with more ornaments. I have to say that I do love these Gold and White Air Drying Clay Christmas Decorations. The addition of some gold paint has really elevated them.
This paper leaf garland is easy peasy to make, so much so that it is almost embarrassing to do a tutorial for it! I love making simple seasonal decorations and this Simple Paper Leaf Garland is the perfect companion to our paper leaf wreath which was hung on my front door and I used the same free printable leaves templates and paper. It really does make a super fall garland for the mantel (or should that be mantle?) with the oranges, reds and mustard coloured leaves.
New potato, spring onion & cheddar quiche is a paid collaborative post with Tesco Jersey Royal Potatoes. There is something amazing about the Jersey Royal Potato season, to me, they are the cream of new potatoes and as the daughter in law of a farmer, I understand the importance of eating seasonally. Tesco Jersey Royals are delicious, earthy and nutty and one of the traditional foodie signals that Spring has arrived. They are available only between April to July.
Can you feel Spring in the air yet? I think I can and I have started thinking about Spring crafts for kids and spring crafts for preschoolers. We have a fabulous selection of crafts that kids will love here. I love Spring, the garden is filled with vibrant colour after a long, cold winter and the days are getting longer fast. I LOVE spring because it means more outdoor time, butterflies, birds, bugs, flowers and spring showers.
I am a sucker for making art as a family and love things that we can display seasonally, just take a look at our family art christmas tree to see what I mean. This family fingerprint heart art canvas is so simple to make and is perfect for making together as a family. How to make a fingerprint heart canvas
Food glorious food. I have a love/hate relationship with feeding my family. I adore cooking when I have time and the inclination but being responsible for providing a meal every night sucks the joy out of it. We have got a bit stuck in a rut when it comes to food and I have been sticking to tried and tested meals that I know everyone will eat. When I posted about this on Instagram so many people agreed with me and for me it is all about family meal planning.
