Queen Platinum Jubilee Bookmarks to Colour

I have created these super cute Platimum Jubille bookmarks for kids to colour in four different designs. They are a perfect kids craft to keep children occupied you are hosting a street party on the extra bank holiday jubilee weekend. They make a great classroom for schoolchildren or group activity and would be super fun to give to Cubs, Beavers or Guides this platinum jubilee year.

I have used the official emblem which features the royal crown and is a continuous line, which represents the queen’s unbroken line and is based on an original illustration drawn by Edward Roberts, a 19-year-old student at the University of Leeds. There is also portraits of the Queen to colour, Crowns, Union Jack Flag and the Queen’s favourite dog breed, the Corgie. The official platinum Jubille Colours are purple and platinum.

I do love colouring bookmarks as they are fun to make and also useful for keeping track of where you got in your favourite book. You can keep these souvenir designs to yourself, or share them with friends. They make lovely gifts either coloured in or with some pencils to someone so they can relax and enjoy colouring them in. You could mat Platinum Jubilee Colouring Bookmarks on a Purple card and even laminate them when they have been coloured in. We also always pop a ribbon on the top (take a look at our Easter Bookmarks to see what I mean).

  • White Card stock (UK Link/US Link)
  • Scissors or paper trimmer (UK Link/US Link)
  • Colouring supplies of your choice (we used a selection of watercolour paints, pencils, crayons and pens)

I am a firm believer in giving kids the best quality art products that way they will last and give great results.

I always print my printables directly onto 160 gsm cardstock using my Epson Ecotank Printer rather than regular paper, this way they are a little more durable and the pens do not bleed through to the other side. However, if you do not have a home printer then just pop to a library and use theirs.
