Let’s celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee this year with these free printable colouring pictures. 2022 marks 70 years of service by the Queen – she will be the first British Monarch to have seventy years on the throne and as sovereign of Great Britain and the commonwealth which is a remarkable achievement, making her the longest-serving monarch.
The 6th February 1952 marked the exact date she became queen and ascended to the throne, however, we as a nation have a special long weekend of platinum jubilee celebrations beginning on Thursday, June 2nd, and continuing over the weekend until June 5 2020. The May Bank Holiday Weekend has been moved to Thursday 2 June and an additional Bank Holiday on Friday 3 June will see a four-day weekend to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – the first time any British monarch has reached this historic milestone of 70 years on the throne.
These Platinum Jubilee Colouring Pages are the perfect resource for young learners, from EYFS to KS2. In preparation for the additional Bank Holiday in 2022, these fun colouring pages, including the Qun’s favourite dog breed the corgi and portraits of the queen would make a lovely, varied display to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 70th year on the throne.
To engage your young learners, why not send a selection to Buckingham Palace with messages to congratulate the Queen on her Platinum Jubilee. Any mail should be addressed to: Her Majesty The Queen, Buckingham Palace, London, SW1A 1AA.
You could use these pages to create a platinum jubilee souvenir colouring book for each child and include other images such as Windsor Castle, Westminster Abbey, Clarence House, The Royal Crest, the Sovereign’s Orb and sceptre, other members of the royal family, and the royal crown. I always print my printables directly onto 160 gsm cardstock using my Epson Ecotank Printer rather than regular paper, this way they are a little more durable and the pens do not bleed through to the other side. However, if you do not have a home printer then just pop to a library and use theirs.

Over the weekend of 4th June people of the United Kindom and the Commonwealth will be coming together to celebrate the 70 years of service. From Trooping of the Colour at Buckingham Palace to, the Party at the Palace to The Big Jubilee Lunch, there will be so many different ways to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
