I am working in partnership with Argos to launch the new My Little Pony The Movie toy range. In celebration of the launch, we have created our very own My Little Pony craft, taking inspiration from the toy range. What can I say – I was too old for My Little Pony first time around and my boys are too old for it now that is it back again! Perhaps it never went away, hmm, you will have to fill me in on that. Well, I am lucky enough to have a six year-old great niece who is the perfect age for the launch the new My Little Pony toys and accessories range. I know that she is excited about going to the cinema to see the new Movie when it opens.
There are 10 new My Little Pony film-specific toys hitting the shelves at Argos, from character figurines to playsets and movie scene collections. Prices range from just £14.99 to £79.99. The toys and accessory sets are great and really fun to play with.
So I dropped a selection off with my Sister in Law for my great niece to play with. She has not put them down since she received them and they vary in price, so would make perfect Christmas or Birthday gifts too.
Plus don’t worry if your child can not wait to get their hands on them as Argos offers nationwide same-day home delivery for just £3.95, seven days a week and faster collection in 800+ stores for no charge
I also just have to share these pictures of one of my other great-niece who fell in love with the My Little Ponies too when visiting her nana!
The ponies including Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity embark on an epic adventure to save Ponyville from an evil dark force. And thanks to Argos, favourite movie moments can now be recreated at home.
Inspired by the beautiful playsets I decided to design a simple accessorise a My Little Pony craft.
Simple My Little Pony Craft

- Plus glitter, feathers and anything else to accessorise you My Little Pony
How to accessorise you My Little Pony
I have kept this as simple as possible so it is great for younger children. Depending on the age of your children you might want to just use a printed my little pony or for slightly older children you can trace the template onto coloured card and use that, which is what we did. Other children might like to draw their own My Little Pony and cut them out.
There really is no right or wrong way for this craft and it is super fun. We used yarn for our ponies mane and tale, but you could use ribbon, string or curling ribbon for present wrapping.
Start by giving your pony an eye and drawing on some eyelashes. Googly eyes work great for this and you can even get some with eyelashes already on. The take the hole punch and make some holes for pony hair on its bottom for the tail and around the head and behind the ear for the mane.
Then thread your yarn through the hole. This is a great fine motor skill and if you are finding that your child is struggling then use a wide-eyed plastic needle to help. Cut your pony’s mane and tail to the length you want.
Then you can get all create and decorate them with glitter, sequins and feathers. Just have fun.
