Do you love sunflowers? I have a great sunflower colouring page for you here. With the heatwave we are currently having it feels like summer is finally here after what has been a long wet winter and spring in the UK. I for one am looking forward to seeing sunflowers.
Sunflower Colouring Page for Grown Ups
This beautiful sunflower colouring page for grown-ups or older kids is perfect for bringing a little sunshine into your lives and for helping to switch off.
With the summer holidays here I find myself ferrying the boys here and there and having a set of colouring pages is a great way to unwind and keep myself occupied whilst waiting for them at the swimming pool or at the park. I used to grab my phone or tablet to unwind, but now I find myself colouring. It is much more soical and it keeps my hands busy and really helps clear the mind.

I even pinched the boys colour set to colour this page! The ones I used are Maxi’s BIC Kids 80 Piece Colouring Set (available from Tesco with an RRP of £19.99 and contains: 20 x Colouring Activity Templates, 18 x BIC Kids Tropicolors2 Pencils Colouring Pencils, 18 x BIC Kids Plastidecor Colouring Crayons, 12 x BIC Kids Kid Couleur Felt Pens and 12 x BIC Kids Magic Felt Pens), which is fantastic value and perfect for carrying around.
I LOVE the plasticdecor colouring crayons, especially the metallic ones! I love how you can use a pencil or pen and then go over the top with the crayon and the colour remains behind it. You get similar in this BIC kids activity drum and it is only £10 at the moment on Amazon.
I am a big believer in using quality products, not just for me, but also the kids and I love that they come in a case, so he can use them at his desk in his bedroom for homework, or we can all use them at the kitchen table.
For out and about and travel we are loving the Stabilo Pen 68 Festival Spirit Felt Tip Pens Pack of 25 in Roll-Up Case Purple/Yellow, which Mini claimed as soon as I got it. The pens are fantastic quality and last for ages (UK Aff Link/US Aff Link). He also used the Stabilo Trio thick pencils, they are a triangular pencil that is slightly wider than standard and ergonomically designed (UK Aff Link/US Aff Link). The benefits for Mini of the Stabilo brand are the ergonomic shape of the pens and pencils especially as he had issues with fine motor skills.
Both the boys have been using Write Size pencils, which are specifically designed for age ranges. These pencils are not only ergonomically designed for specific hand sizes they are also in varying lengths (UK Aff Link).

Colouring Supplies:
I am often asked what products I use and I am a big advocate of using the best supplies you can afford. It is really frustrating to use pencils that keep snapping or refuse to blend well, oh and don’t get me started on pens that bleed through the paper. I always buy the best quality I can afford, not just for me but for my kids too. I want colouring to be a joyful experience.
These are mine and the MiniMad’s suggestions to you. Our tried and tested favourites. When I first started colouring I just pinched the boy’s products, which is why adult colouring is so accessible and over the period of a year I now have my own supplies!
I always print my printables directly onto 160 gsm cardstock using my Epson Ecotank Printer rather than regular paper, this way they are a little more durable and the pens do not bleed through to the other side. However, if you do not have a home printer then just pop to a library and use theirs.
