I have never made a piñata before, but when I saw the football piñata on Here comes the girls, I knew that I had to make one for Mini’s birthday party. However when a dear friend thought that I planned letting my boys lose on a piñata with a stick she panicked! However, it was never my intention to let them beat it with a stick, but to kick it like a real football.
Maxi is a junior football player and he has been with his football team from when he started playing as an under 7. He has been training since he was four years old. We are so lucky that his team mates are a great and they are a wonderful team, but being in a team is a great experience for him and he has learned a lot. The benefits of team sport for kids

I have two football mad little boys and also a football mad husband, so with the spirit of a family night in, I decided that I better join in the fun and get involved with the FIFA World Cup family fun. Sunday came and Mini apologised to all the parents for his behavior but this wasn’t enough for this parent who has stated that he is pulling his son from the team. This has been such a terrible experience for all of us. We have come very close to pulling both boys from their teams and moving them to another club. MadDad’s enthusiasm for the game has been shattered and we have all felt emotionally bruised by this judgement in to our parenting.
It was the first week back at school and Mini was tired. He is six years old, he had a tantrum. I am not trying to make excuses for Mini, but these things happen and nobody should be making judgement on our life without walking a mile in our shoes. The fact that this parent is so offended by his behaviour now makes me wonder just who has the issue here. I do hope that his son still plays as all the children seem to have a fab time and love playing.
It was amazing, The atmosphere was electric and the games were suburb. We had just a wonderful time.
Summer is supposed to be on it’s way and regardless of the weather, the children will be off for their summer break!

Both my boys adore football and are in U7 and U8 teams. I guess there must be something in their gene’s as MadDad played five a side football with his work until recently.
