We love a jacket potato here in the Mad House and think that they are a massively underrated meal. They are so versatile and perfect as a base for a meal if you have a family that doesn’t all like the same food. So I want to share with you my tips for cooking Jacket potatoes and our ultimate toppings list, although I am not sure you can beat good old beans and cheese! Firstly I realised that jacket potato is only called this in the UK elsewhere they are baked potatoes. We call them jackets as they cook in their jackets (skins)!
