Minions are so adorable and they are the perfect for this craft.  Their body shape and expressions make this is a great minon craft to do with kids.

How to Make Minion Stones

We collected our stones on a recent trip to the beach, so I make sure I clean them before we use them.  You can imagine MadDad’s surprise at finding a dishwasher full of stones when he came to empty it!

Our Minions did require a couple of coats of yellow acrylic paint, so they were perfect for creating over the period of the day when the boys were in and out of the house.

Firstly paint your stones yellow.  We used Cadmium yellow UK Link/US Link for this.  Once they have dried give them another coat.  Then paint your minions trousers on.  We used Cobalt blue UK Link/US Link for these and they only needed one coat.

Now is the time to add the whites of your Minions eyes.  Again we used acrylic paint for this, white this time.

Once the paint has dried it is time to get the Sharpies out.

Firstly we outlined the eyes in silver.  Then we used black to mark the eyes, goggle straps and expressions. Finally we marked the goggles with the super fine tip black sharpie.

These Minion stones are perfect for paperweights or indoor play like this, but if you want to use them outside, then I would recommend a coat of Modge Podge Outdoor (UK Link/US Link).
