Get Ready for Spring

• Celebrate the Spring Equinox (March 20th) – mark the changing seasons with a nature walk or a bit of garden prep.
• Plant early spring flowers – daffodils, crocuses, and tulips are perfect for adding a splash of colour! It is plant a flower day on March 12th.
• Declutter your home in time for the new season – a mini spring clean can be a great mood booster – get the kids involved too.

• St. David’s Day (March 1st) – If you’re in Wales or just love Welsh culture, why not enjoy a bowl of cawl, bake some Welsh cakes, or do some daffodil crafts?
• World Book Day (March 5th, UK & Ireland) – Encourage reading by sharing a favourite book with your kids, dressing up as a book character, or visiting your local library.
• St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th) – Embrace all things green or rainbow! Get crafting with shamrocks, enjoy a traditional Irish meal, or try baking soda bread.
• Nowruz (March 20-21st) – The Persian New Year, a great time for fresh starts, cleaning, and celebrating renewal.
• Mother’s Day (UK – March 15th) – Treat mum (or yourself!) to a homemade gift, a relaxing day, or simply make them a homemade card as a show of appreciation.
• Palm Sunday (March 29th) – The start of Holy Week, often marked with palm crosses and celebrations. A lovely time to reflect, attend a service, or get crafty with homemade palm leaf decorations.

Craft & DIY Fun

• Make a DIY cake case daffodil bouquet – perfect for St. David’s Day or as a spring decoration.
• Have fun with Holi-inspired colour play (March 3rd) – create bright paintings, experiment with colour mixing, or even try a DIY chalk powder craft.
• Try a book-themed craft for World Book Day, like making big nose bookmarks or designing your own book cover.

Awareness Days & Acts of Kindness

• International Women’s Day (March 8th) – Celebrate the amazing women in your life or learn about inspiring female figures in history. We have a great female faces colouring page.
• World Wildlife Day (March 3rd) – Create a small wildlife-friendly spot in your garden with bird feeders or bug hotels.
• World Water Day (March 22nd) – Teach kids about water conservation by making a rainwater collector or turning off the taps while brushing teeth.
• International Day of Happiness (March 20th) – Write down 5 things that bring you joy or spread kindness with a simple compliment or note.

Spring Home & Garden

• Start planning your spring/summer garden – even a small window box can bring fresh herbs and flowers into your home. Make some fun Herb pun plant pots or patchwork fabric ones.
• Open the windows, air out the house, and give your home a good spring refresh.
• Try making a DIY bird feeder to support wildlife as they prepare for nesting season.

Tasty Treats to Try

• Celebrate Pi Day (March 14th) with a homemade pie – sweet or savoury, you decide!
• Bake traditional Irish soda bread for St. Patrick’s Day – super simple and delicious.

Religious Festivals & Celebrations

• Ramadan continues (evening of Wednesday 18th February – evening of Thursday 19th March 2026)– ) – A time of reflection, fasting, and togetherness for the Muslim community. We have some fab colouring pages for Eid and Ramadan.
• Eid al-Fitr (March 20th – March 21th) – Marking the end of Ramadan with feasting and celebrations.
• Purim (March 3-4th) – A Jewish festival filled with joy, storytelling, and delicious hamantaschen cookies.

• With World Sleep Day (March 13th), make an effort to improve your sleep routine by setting a regular bedtime or trying a relaxing wind-down routine.
• Take a mental health walk – even 10 minutes outside can work wonders.
• Treat yourself to a slow morning – enjoy a warm drink, a book, or just a moment of quiet before the rush of the day.

Pretty prints:

Adding prints is a wonderful way of injecting colour and personality in to your outfit whilst still appearing professional.  Spring/Summer 2014 is all about florals and this season’s trend has been updated with graphic designs and vibrant colours. Subtly introduce perennial prints into your work wear by styling a floral blouse with your suit. Alternatively a pretty, floral, silk scarf will instantly update a white cotton shirt.

Pastel palette:

This season’s palette is fresh and delicate with soft blush pinks, mint greens and pale blues. Updated classics:
