Turn any glass candle into an Advent candle this December with our fab free printable. I don’t need an excuse to light a candle over the dark nights and as a family, we love advent and advent candles.

Advent is possibly my favourite time of the year, in fact, I prefer it to Christmas day itself. I love the anticipation and joy each day brings. Perhaps that is down to me being a December baby, perhaps down to my mum dying on Christmas Day or perhaps it is partly a rebellion to the over commercialism of Christmas.

We have had lots of different advent candles in the past and we still have four candles that we light on the relevant Sundays over advent. We have also had candles with numbers on that you burn a little each day, however, we are not so good with those. We either forget to burn it or burn too many days!

Last year we made the decision to change things up and we had a jar with 24 candles in but when I was putting it away I dropped it, so I have made my own this year with 24 numbered Advent candles.

But it got me thinking, I burn a candle at my desk each afternoon when it starts getting darker or if I need to concentrate. My goto being a Basil and Lime one from Spandragon Online. So why not make a label for that candle that I can mark when I light it over the month and I never do things by half so I designed 6 labels so anyone could do the same.

I love that I can turn my favourite scented candle into a meaningful advent candle to celebrate the lead up to Christmas Day. That I can light it and count down the days to spending more time with my family and also take a moment to be calm and just watch it burn and breath in the beautiful oils and scent.
