With all the choices available today for tablets and laptops, it can be really hard to know what to choose. With Maxi having just turned eleven and starting senior school in September we know that he will need something that he can do his homework on.
Venturer EliteWin 11.6-Inch 2-in-1 Tablet with Smart Keyboard
At the moment, the boys work on the family desktop or my Surface Pro, but the time comes when they need to have access to their own machine and that is where the Venturer EliteWin comes into its own. The fact that it runs Window’s makes it perfect for school work as both the boys often have to produce Powerpoint presentations or Word documents. and the version we reviewed came with a months free Office 365, which is perfect for school use. It also means that I can add the machine to our home Office 365 subscription and we can all share our home cloud drive.
The Venturer EliteWin gives you the best of both worlds as an 11.6 inch tablet or with the smart keyboard attached a laptop.
It has been used an awful lot in our home for Minecraft and Roblox in its laptop mode and for homework. Whilst in its tablet mode the boys both use it for watching youtube and playing apps. Being a Windows 10 Operating system means it has a really family feel and I know my way around it and so do the boys. It was simple to link to our wireless printer

All we did was add a 64gb micro SD to expand the memory and that was for both the boys things and the extra taken up from having Office 365 Professional uploaded. We also decided to buy a Bluetooth mouse for use when the Venturer EliteWin 11.6-Inch 2-in-1 Tablet is in Laptop mode.
Mini isn’t the most delicate child and the Venturer EliteWin 11.6-Inch 2-in-1 Tablet with Smart Keyboard has stood up to him really well. In fact the Venturer tablets were drop tested from heights of 0.7m and 1.2m alongside the Surface 3, Lenovo and Asus devices. The only tablets that passed at 1.2M were the Venturer ones because the housing of separate end parts provides the housing and the screen more protection and at £199 I was amazed.
The Venturer EliteWin 11.6-Inch 2-in-1 Tablet with Smart Keyboard is perfect for homework and taking to school. In fact, it is a perfectly adequate table for me to work on unless I need to do work on video’s or photo processing.

It’s good to learn about a good school- type tablet. They keyboard makes it perfect for homework and my youngest is starting to make noises about getting his own computer so this is one for consideration.
That’s a pretty cool tablet, I do like it when they come with detachable keyboards. It’s a reasonable price too.
This tablet looks so handy, and I really like the detachable keyboard. Sometimes a tablet just isn’t enough and you need a physical keyboard to do writing. Great review, thanks for sharing.
What a great little tablet and the perfect computer for children to do some work on, love that it has a detachable keyboard.
This looks like a brilliant tablet, I’m looking for something like this for my 14yo as he needs something to do his homework on too. He tries using the family PC but I’ve had it for nearly 10 years and its so slow now he really struggles with it.
A brilliant buy for any student who needs a tablet for homework etc. Happy to hear that the boys are getting on well with it.
This looks perfect for teens homework and also good for games too. I suspect something like this will be on Kian’s wishlist
That looks great, I love how it detaches from the keyboard. My Z is at an age where he will soon need his own laptop so this is really helpful.
We’ve been using this too and we love it – it’s well worth the money isn’t it x x
