Sometimes it is nice not to have too much planned over a weekend, too be able to take time out and be a family. This weekend has been a lot like that. We have laughed, cried and walked together. Made dens, played games and cooked together. We have planned, partied (well the boys have) and just been together. I think I have been fortifying myself for the funeral tomorrow of someone who was very dear to me and influenced me as I grew up. However, it is to be a celebration and I am to wear something bright.

Children and boxes, they’re made for each other! 🙂
It always amazes me just how long kids will sit and play with a cardboard box for and how many different things one box can become. We spend a fortune on fancy toys and gadgets and more often than not they have more fun in an old empty box. Crazy!
Looks like lots of fun! Especially the trains and cardboard boxes! 🙂
Looks like a very lovely family weekend and I hope it helped shore you up for the funeral. I don’t think anything is better than kids and a box! Two of mine have made a den in our sitting room out of a large one, it now has doors and curtains and they keep disappearing inside for picnics!
What a fun weekend. Love the cardboard box shot. x
I love these weekends when we have them and I love the site of your craft room and sewing machine. I am so happy that you are sewing again.
An can I come and stay next weekend? Lol looks like fun. Youngling loves his cardboard box he makes Bampa (grandpa) get in it and go sailing – in the living room obviously lol. X
