DIY Bath Melts that Foam
When I talk about ingredients I am going to talk in % that way you can make as many or as few as you want. For ease, I am going to work in g and 1 g = 1%!

Total Time 40 minutes
Ingredients
- 63 % Cocoa Butter
- 35 % Lumorol K 5229 waterless surfactant. This amazing product is a surfactant, emulsifier and foaming agent in one, and is an ideal primary ingredient for making foaming shower/bath oils.
- 2 % Essential Oil of your choice
Instructions
- Melt the cocoa butter in a double boiler and allow it to cool until it is going opaque at the edges.
- Stir in the Lumorol K 5229 and allow to cool to below 40 degrees c before adding in your essential oil of choice.
- Pour into a silicone ice cube mould and place in the fridge for a couple of hours to set.
- Once set package into a jar with a label and date.
Recipe Notes
To Use - Fill the bathtub with water. Toss one of the DIY bath melts into the tub and allow it to melt. Enjoy your soak!
These DIY bath melts can cause surfaces to become slippery, so use caution when getting out of the bathtub.
