Our local pier has been making the news as it has been yarn stormed. It looks amazing and there are some very talented knitters in the local area so it seems. It is literally five minutes from our house and the boys have been asking to go back each day to see if it has grown!
It has an Olympic theme and it fantastic. I took the boys along to see it on Saturday and they were transfixed.

OMG that’s so amazing!
So amazing and creative !I wonder ho many people were involved ?
That looks great. A tree in our local park has been covered – my four year old calls it a tree-cosy
Oh now this is brilliant! I keep reading about yarn storming, or guerilla knitting, on different blogs. I wish someone would do some around here!
This is amazing! I would love to see this locally but I am doubtful it would even happen. I am pretty envious of your pier aswell!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I have been under the weather so this is my first blog walk for a while. I am enjoying my nose around!
Ah, the boys look mesmerised. What a lovely gift to the town. So much time and effort must have gone into making and installing it. A friend of mine had posted some pics on Facebook too, http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150856242306124.516433.711066123&type=1
