In this post, we’ll guide you through the steps to create your very own mummy treat bowl, using materials you likely already have at home. Get ready to wrap up some fun and give your Halloween candy a spooky new home!

DIY Mummy Trick or Treat Bowl was a paid collaboration with HARIBO for the #HariboShareTheScare campaign. Don’t you just love a five minute craft that is easy and even better reversible and it is the perfect bowl to welcome your trick or treaters with this Halloween especially when filled with my boys’ favourite HARIBO ScareMix.
I love Halloween and I love to create a really fun atmosphere for all our trick or treaters and our home. This DIY Mummy Trick or Treat Bowl is made with a large reusable plastic cocktail goldfish bowl that we already had and I raided the first aid kit for bandages which were out of date.

In order to make this a temporary Halloween craft, I used my favourite Bostik Removable Sticky Glue Dots. If you wanted to reuse your bowl each year you could use a hot glue gun. Actually we are 4 years of using this with the glue dots and it is still perfect!

We are big fans of HARIBO treats for Halloween, I have to hide them otherwise I have to replace them before the end of October! The small packets are the perfect self-service candy for little hands. I particularly love the Toffee Apple Eggs that come in the ScareMix, whilst Maxi loves the TangfasTricks. If you are going to make our trick or treat bowl or share the scare this Halloween, then don’t forget to #HariboShareTheScare on twitter or facebook.

How to make a DIY Mummy Trick or Treat Bowl

I love that this Halloween trick or treat bowl took all of five minutes to make and it is super simple. You don’t have to use a plastic goldfish bowl, you could just use any bowl from your cupboards. We already had this cocktail goldfish bowl from a party.

Secure one end of your bandages under your bowl. We used Bostik Removable Sticky Glue Dots to make it reversible, however, you could use a glue gun and then you can bring out your bowl again and again.

Wrap your bandages around the bowl, securing the ends until you are happy with how it looks.

Then attach your googly eyes. These have self-adhesive backings.

Then wrap another bandage round to partially cover the eyes.

Then fill with HARIBO ready for Halloween night.

It would also make a great table centrepiece for a Halloween party.
