Wishing you a peaceful, crafty, joy-filled Christmas season

Just like our favourite Disguise a Gingerbread Man (which we used to avoid being eaten!), this time your child’s mission is to help the elf stay hidden from Santa’s workshop mischief. Will your elf become a superhero? A fairy? A pirate? A reindeer? A dragon?! The choice is completely up to your child — and the creativity that comes out of this is just gorgeous.

What You Need

• Our Disguise an Elf Printable Pack (download below)
• Scissors
• Glue stick
• Crayons, colouring pencils or markers
• Optional: googly eyes, glitter glue, sequins, cotton wool — whatever crafty extras you love!

What’s Included?

This printable set includes a base elf plus a selection of disguises to mix and match:

Kids can cut out the clothing, accessories and headpieces and glue them onto their elf. You can even encourage them to design their own disguises too. A taco elf? A footballer elf? A disco elf? Why not!

How to Use

1. Print out the base elf sheet and one (or all!) of the costume pages.
2. Colour the pieces if using the black and white versions.
3. Carefully cut out the elf outfits and accessories.

1. Glue the disguise pieces onto your elf to create a brand new character.
2. For extra fun, use the writing prompt sheet included:
   • “I am not an elf… I am a _______!”

This adds a lovely literacy element, especially for KS1 and KS2 aged children.

I always print my printables directly onto 160 gsm cardstock using my Epson Ecotank Printer rather than regular paper, this way they are a little more durable and the pens do not bleed through to the other side. However, if you do not have a home printer then just pop to a library and use theirs.
