I love creating and decorating seasonally and I also like a little of the unexpected in my home. So I have created this fab toilet monster for halloween.
Our monsters were super simple to make. I cut them out using my Cricut Explore Air and window cling, but they would look equally as good cut out on paper or even vinyl.
I wanted our monsters to be a cross between cute and scary as I have children using my bathrooms and I didn’t want to scare them too much.
I am going to give you a tutorial for making these with the Explore Air, but you could print out the templates and then cut them out my hand.

As I was printing this on Window cling, I needed to set the dial to custom on the Explore before changing the material to window cling in the software,
It was really simple to apply as the window cling stuck directly on to the toilet cistern. I just gently peeled it off and then stuck it on, before taking out the center for the eyes.
This has been a big hot for all the boys in the neighbourhood, who has been coming in to see our downstairs loo! How do you decorate for halloween?
Disclosure: Thanks to Cricut for sending me some materials to make this and take part in their Halloween themed competition.
I love the fun idea of this but I have to confess I’d not put one on my own loo. I’ve had enough toilet dramas over the years with toilet training – anything that might cause a scare wouldn’t work for me!!
Ha ha ha ha ha! I love it. My son has been muttering about trying to find his inner monster all weekend – must show him this!
Love this, what a great idea x
Ha! How fab would that be to find at a Halloween party when you visited the loo.
This is amazing! Well done!
Oh my goodness that is amazing – what a great Halloween toilet! x
I love this! What a fab way to add a bit of humour to the bathroom. I’ve been playing with my cricut this week but had no idea you can now get window cling. We’ve just had new windows so Mr M is being a bit precious about sticking things on the glass but he couldn’t complain if I used window cling 😉
Haha that is totally awesome 🙂
this is by far the most fantastic thing i have seen today … its genius!
I am so going to do this – hope mine notice it though :0)
Haha that is so much fun – love it!
Brilliant idea, cute monster too. I’d leave him there all the time 🙂
This is very funny – you’re so creative!
I think I saw this on your IG and though ‘wilf would love that!’ so fun. I love this time of year, Halloween is one of my favourites for sure x
Hee hee, that is wonderful. a lovely way to bring a not so scary monster not the house 🙂
I love this idea!
Ha ha this is so funny!! We are big Halloween fans in our house so this would go down very well!
This looks so cool! I’m with JuggleMum – we’ve only recently finished potty training and Cheeky Boy is still kinda scared of monsters so I wouldn’t put one on the loo this year. I will keep it in mind for future years though! x
Creepy toilet monsters :-), I am sure the boys love it! It does sound very simple to make if one has the right tools!xx
This is adorable!!
That is just brilliant Jen, POD would love the toilet monster. What a superb idea 🙂
