Want an Anthropology Candle topped with a Snow Globe? I did, but I couldn’t justify the price, especially when I knew I could make DIY snow globe candle topper and have fun while making it. Plus I had a couple of days booked to spend with a friend so we decided to make a go at making our own and we were delighted with the results.
This fingerprint Christmas light craft – a dishwasher-safe plate has been inspired by one of our most popular posts our Fingerprint Christmas Tree Ornament and a plate for Father Christmas that I painted for the boys’ first Christmas in our home. That plate has survived being in the dishwasher over the years as have our Reindeer Fingerprint Mugs so I wanted to make another Christmas keepsake that the whole family can get involved in.

Christmas truly is a special time of year – an occasion for families to get together and spend some quality time, and a chance to reflect upon the year that was. Plus, there’s nothing quite like the many traditions that go along with the festive season: putting up a tree, decorating the house, wrapping the presents. However, there’s a reason that pockets get tight in December. Gift-giving can set you back a hefty amount, and if you’re short on money, it’s easy to feel like you don’t have the means to make Christmas exactly what it should be. Rest assured, there are plenty of ways to have a magical Christmas on […]

Making Christmas starts out of paper mags is a classic festive craft that I have been doing since I was really small. I grew up in an old Victorian terraced house with really high ceilings and each year we decorated it for the holiday season with paper decorations, crepe streamers, accordion-folded stars from leftover wallpaper or wrapping paper and stars made out of homemade paper bags or butchers paper. We started at the beginning of December and used them as party decorations for my birthday on December 20th my parents put the tree up in the window.
This beautiful keepsake Family Handprint Christmas Tree is a wonderful piece of seasonal artwork that brings so much joy each year. There is something magical about a collaborative handprint art canvas that fills me with such happiness. Better still I bring it our each holiday season and it reminds me of happy times and when my kids were young. Plus it is great having artwork using their little hands. I mean who doesn’t love Christmas Traditions?

I am a big fan of Christmas Crackers, I love the excitement and anticipation of pulling a cracker at Christmas. So why not make Christmas Day go with a bang by making your own Homemade Christmas crackers. They are a super simple craft, easy to make and you can add your own unique gifts, jokes, and party hats in order to personalise your Christmas Day. I know it is super easy it is to pick up a ready-made box of crackers from any supermarket, however, in order to get gifts that my family will use and not just tat they are often expensive and/or really wasteful. Making crackers adds some wow […]
I have always loved the look of dried orange slices and there are always loads at the Christmas markets, so I wanted to try making some myself. Making dried orange slices is so much easier than I thought it would be, it just takes a little time and they are really inexpensive too. Oh, and another plus is they make the house smell amazing when you bake them.
