Christmas, a a special time for family and friends and this year one big part of our lives was missing. My mum died on Christmas Eve last year and was discovered on Christmas Day by my brother. This year was never going to be the easiest, however, we raised a glass to our missing loved ones and made the best of the day. Christmas Lunch was at The in laws and we came home and watched the Gruffalo’s Child, Dr Who (which had me sobbing) and Strictly Come Dancing.
Boxing day has been spend, lazing, playing games (our current favorite being Boggle Flash) and watching three generations build and part make a train set.
Merry Christmas Jen, MadDad, Maxi & Mini with loved ones and remembering love ones. You’ve been in my thoughts. Much love, Claire x
Merry Christmas Jen, glad you and your family had a good Christmas, and were able to toast lost loved ones. They boys look sweet asleep in bed. Great train set!
Sounds like a good Christmas – well done! Fabulous photos – are those two big piles of pressents for your boys? Wow, I didn’t realize it was like that. I love that train set and the three generations working on it. I bet it will provide hours of entertainment over the years. Be careful as it may take over your house ;). Enjoy the rest of the week xxx
Much love to you this Christmas, Jen x
Looks like Mini & Maxi had a wonderful time – such a pile of pressies – should keep them busy for months 🙂
We too raised a glass to absent loved ones xx
Merry Xmas to you all, hope all is well 😉 Mirka
Thank goodness for the children for you this Christmas, it forces normality which I am sure helps you all. Hope each Christmas time gets easier for you all x
Looks like a fab xmas! x
I cried at Dr Who as well ,glad im not the only one that does things like that. Anniversaries are always difficult. I planted a tree in my garden and call it my Remembrance tree, i go out and talk to it on all special occasions that lost loved ones miss.
What a beautiful selection of photos to remember a special day x
Sorry posted too soon, I hope your children helped you survive what must be a very hard day xx
What a lovely Christmas you all had. I know it was difficult missing your mum but you gave her your thoughts and prayers and she would have been so proud of you x
