How do you perceive me? the one word Meme 28

Michelle from Mummy from the Heart has tagged me in her one word meme  “how do you perceive me?”  I have thought long and hard about doing this over the weekend, as I am not one who looks for other people to validate my opinions of myself, much less the online and mummy blogging community.  Reading that back it might sound a little harsh, but it isn’t meant too, it is just the fact that I place a lot of value on the people who know me opinion and I have also had a recent experience of someone commenting on my blog, who felt that I came across as a blagger, […]

Stories and Songs MeMe 10

I have been tagged again (January must be the month of tags) by Fraught Mummy from Brits in Bosnia for her Stories and Songs me me.  Now there is no way I could single this down to one song.  I love music almost as much as I love photo’s and I actually categorise times of my life by certain songs and music. So here goes: Courting MadDad – The WonderStuff, Hot Love now 1994 1994 was a wonderful year for me and MadDad. My 10 Favorite Things MeMe 13

Baking Mad Mama, yep a girl after my own hear, who loves to bake has tagged me to list 10 of my favorite things that are free, so here goes: Waking up in the dark to find one or two little bodies snuggled in asleep next to me.  The mini’s always start the night in their own beds, but don’t always end it there, I don’t mind, I can not see them sharing with us at 15, so I am making the most of it! The boys getting into Star Wars, it is great they are turning into little nerds and geeks and they now too know that Jango Fett is […]

My Favorite Photograph Meme 15

I have been tagged by Peggy at Perfectly Happy Mum to complete Tara from Sticky Fingers Favorite Photograph MeMe. With the issues with my Laptop, I have been thinking about this and to narrow it down it is going to have to be from the last 4 years from when we went digital, as we don’t have a scanner. That does narrow it down somewhat, but that still leaves in excess of 5000 photographs taken by me.  I know this as I thankfully transferred them all to the external hard drive MadDad bought me for Christmas just before the laptop went terminal. I love photographs I always have, they are the […]

Awards and Link Love 13

A while back I received an award from Kelly at A Place of My Own – Shining Light: The blogger that receives this award has left a comment or written a post that has helped light the way for the blogger who presents them with the award.  I also received the honest scrap award for Aingeal over at Mum’s Survival Guide I am ever so proud of this, as it signifies and highlights what blogging means for me.  It is a community of people who I am happy to call my friends.  I am all for offering support, in one way as a mother I find other mothers the first to judge, but […]

Picture Perfect Meme 7

Linda at ‘You’ve got your hands full’ tagged me with the Picture Perfect Meme, which Tara at Sticky Fingers started. You have to show a picture that your children have drawn about you. You may remember that a little while ago MaxiMad made a trip to the local sorting office where he saw the life cycle of a postcard he had previously posted.  Well on that postcard was a picture of his family. A while back MadDad ordered me the the wonderful Handmade home by Amanda Blake Soule, who is Soulemamma.  In it she makes Portrait Bookmarks (she has a free PDF with the instructions on here).  I thought these were a […]

Inspired 4

I am inspired to write after receiving the “proud to be meme” from Sandy over at Baby Baby.  I need to list 5 things that make I am proud of, but they have to be about me. This is hard, I find it much easier to be proud or grateful of others, but here you go. I am proud that I can bake even if it is at 2 in the morning and I eat all the scones by lunchtime the following day.  Baking feeds my soul as well as my ever expanding tummy. I am proud that I am alive and will not have to live my life looking for […]
